Honey Mustard Sauce

So many premade sauces are filled with fillers and preservatives that aren’t good for our long-term health. But you’d be surprised how easy it is to make your favorites from scratch! Such as this delicious Honey Mustard! It works great for chicken strips, corn dogs, salad dressing, and a marinade for chicken.

One of the perks of making your own sauces is customization. If you prefer a sweeter sauce, add more honey or a pinch of sugar. If you want to amp up the mustard flavor, add more mustard or even mustard seed. If you want it add a kick of heat, stir in a pinch of cayenne powder or red pepper flakes. If you want it to be more acidic and tart, throw in a splash of white vinegar or lemon juice.

Honey Mustard Sauce
(Original Recipe: Diethood)

1/4 C mayonnaise
1/4 C Dijon mustard
1 TBSP yellow mustard
1/4 C honey
1 TBSP white vinegar
1/8 tsp paprika
Salt to taste

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and whisk until well combined. Taste and adjust accordingly. Refrigerate any leftovers.
