Last week, I waxed poetic about the cookbook, Bravetart, by Stella Parks. It’s filled with fantastic recipes for making iconic American sweet treats right in the comfort of your own home. Ms. Parks shares tips and tricks, from equipment to use to specific ingredients, to achieve results that taste very much like their popular counterparts.

The first recipe I tried from this cookbook was that for Oreo cookies. Unfortunately, I do not have permission to share the recipe with you on this site. You’re going to have to find the book at a book store or your local library (which I highly recommend!)

However, I can share my experience with you! This was a fun afternoon with my sister. The instructions were easy to follow, and we didn’t need to acquire anything too complicated or hard-to-find. We messed up the kitchen gloriously, and it was worth it; they tasted great!
